Default Cramer Talks About How The Market Is Manipulated

Interesting video by Jim Cramer that for once is actually educational. It's pretty refreshing to catch Jim Cramer away from his Mad Money studio with all his sound effects and actually talking about something useful. Check it out:

Meh ... just my own personal opinion ... but he's talking nonsense of a loser trader. Yes, that sort of shenanigans goes on. Absolutely. By the losers. And he admitted it. Did he honestly say "up 2% for the year" ? Did I hear him correctly?

So let's say a hedge fund is up only 2% for the year? Ok, that definitely happens. So what he's trying to say ... is that a hedge fund that is run SO badly, that's is only up 2% for the year - resorts to shenanigans that has landed people in trouble. Yes, the SEC has caught on to those sorts of moves, and does bust people for it. So the risk is huge ... for what sort of reward? Another 2% gain for the year? Seriously?

So his thesis is that this scenario is what truly causes the market to move?

    Sorry, I'm not buying it.

Why would a trader need to get involved with pulling shenanigans like what he talked about - when you just ... trade, and trade well. It's more trouble than it's worth to try to play the rumor game. The risk is to high. As he himself said - the only people that would go near this sort of nonsense - are the losers. The people who are, as he himself put it, are "desperate".

And it's his thesis that it's these losers of desperation are "really" running the show for what ... another 2 or 3% ?

Excellent points raised, Airelon, and as always I am glad to have you here to hear your side of things. It is an opinion I missed for some time but am glad to see it again
