Do Trading Courses Work?
When I was new to trading I took dozens of trading courses with no result. If you told me then that I would end up producing my own trading course to help people learn how to trade I would have told you that you're crazy. I came to the conclusion that trading courses just aren't an effective way to teach someone about trading or how to trade.
Fast forward 5 years and I have my own trading course that I authored, produced, and offer to traders on six of seven continents (I haven't found any traders in Antarctica just yet but if there are any I will offer you the course for free just so I can say all 7 continents
) Anyways, what's changed in the last 5 years? Well, a whole lot, but specifically what changed my view towards trading courses?
There's two main things I want to focus on when addressing if trading courses actually work: 1) The actual course and 2) the people taking the course.
The Actual Trading Course:
As someone who not only has experience with other trading courses but someone who also has placed thousands of trades, I set out to cover the topics that other courses never talk about and more importantly to present the information in a manner that no one else presents in. That's why people like Tracy Stevenson email in to me saying "Wow! Absolutely, wow! You should pick up on your second talent..."How to put together a trading course"." and people like Joe Sheedy email me saying "This course is the bomb. Been trading a while now but applied only your methodology on Friday. Hit 9 from 10 trades making over $1,300.". I'm not patting myself on the back in any way, however I will say that some trading courses are dramatically different than others.
The People Taking The Trading Course:
I think the question of "Do Trading Courses Work" has not only a lot to do with what course you end up taking, but also has a lot to do with how much effort you put into taking the course. Our course, for example, is over 7 hours long. Some people sit down and take the course in one sitting, let's just say they don't learn too much, while others sit down and take detailed notes and watch the course over and over and over, asking questions along the way. These are the ones that go out of the course with a true understanding of the materials.
So in closing, yes some trading courses really do help you learn how to trade, however even the best of the best courses aren't going to be worth their weight in gold if you don't put in the time to study the content. I think perhaps the best indication of a good course is through member testimonials. If you're searching for a trading course, check out the testimonials for our course by clicking here.
